Accordingly, the Prime Minister approved the policy of investment in the infrastructure construction and business of Kim Thanh 2 Industrial Park (phase 1), and approved the investor for Hung Yen Investment and Development Corporation.
The project is implemented in Dai Duc commune and Tam Ky commune, Kim Thanh district, Hai Duong province with an area of 234.63 hectares (including the river area of 18.68 hectares which is remained unchanged from its original state).
The investment capital of the project is 3,403 billion VND, of which the investor's contributed capital is 513.85 billion VND.
Operation term of the project: 50 years from the date of approval of the investment policy.
Hung Yen Investment and Development Corporation is a subsidiary of KBC. At the beginning of 2021, KBC contributed capital to establish a new Hung Yen Investment and Development Corporation and currently holds nearly 94% of the contributed capital in this company.
Kim Thanh 2 Industrial Park project is connected conveniently to Trang Due 1, Trang Due 2 and Trang Due 3 Industrial Parks (with the total scale of more than 1,000 hectares) and Trang Due Auxiliary Industrial Cluster (with the scale of 58.8 hectares). The connection among these 5 inter-regional Industrial Park - Industrial Cluster projects will form an industrial complex with a total scale of nearly 1,350 hectares, creating industry chains to promote socio-economic development between Hai Phong and Hai Duong provinces and it also brings massive advantages in infrastructure development, which attracts investment to the industrial parks that KBC is participating in managing.
