APEC Summit Week 2023 is taking place in San Francisco with a series of important events, including the 30th APEC Summit, where leaders of 21 member economies converged. This year's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2023 Summit Week’s theme is "Creating a resilient and sustainable future for all". KBC is honored to be the gold sponsor of the APEC 2023.

After 30 years, the Asia-Pacific region in general and APEC in particular have increasingly become an important economic region of the world. With many challenges that economies are facing, this year's APEC Summit Week is decisive for the implementation of the goals and vision of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum nowadays.

United States has chosen the theme for this year's APEC Summit Week as "Creating a resilient, sustainable future for all" with three priorities: “Interconnectivity, Innovation and Inclusivity ". With this theme, this year's APEC Summit Week is focusing on discussing economic issues such as sustainable development, digitalization, women's economic empowerment, creating favorable conditions for trade, energy security, food security and health and, promoting the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) with the goal of building a “interconnectivity, innovation and inclusivity " region.

APEC 2023 will be an opportunity for Vietnam to broadcast the voice of a developing country that is playing an increasingly greater role in the world.

The President of Vietnam is attending the 30th APEC Summit with the theme "Connectivity and resilient and inclusive economies", a dialogue among leaders and the APEC Business Advisory Council, and a discussing dialogue among APEC leaders and invited guests.

Especially, the Head of Government gave a keynote speech at the APEC Business Summit, an event that gathers more than 2,000 leaders of leading enterprises in the world and within APEC. This would be an opportunity for the President to convey a strong message to the business community.

In addition, the Vietnamese delegation will attend all major activities of the 2023 APEC Summit Week and will greet widely with important partners in APEC and large business corporations in the region.

During more than 2 decades of accompanying APEC, Vietnam has been highly appreciated by the international community with many outstanding records for its proactive, positive, responsible and effective contributions, which helps maintain APEC's role as the leading economic linkage mechanism in Asia - Pacific.

Vietnam's most outstanding imprint when participating in APEC is that it is one of the few members to successfully host APEC twice, in 2006 and 2017. According to many experts, this is not something that all APEC members can do.

Apart from taking on the hosting, Vietnam still actively hosts many meetings of APEC working groups, such as the 6th APEC Human Resource Development Ministerial Meeting, the 3rd APEC Business Council (ABAC III), as well as actively contributing to APEC's common activities and interests, especially long-term cooperation orientations, demonstrating initiative and proactive in building and shaping multilateral institutions. Not only that, Vietnam is also one of the most active members in proposing initiatives and cooperation projects, etc.
